    Hi,

    I'm wondering if anybody knows how to automatically turn off the following settings via code for new users when added to my WP site?

    Users > User Edit > User Permissions > Genesis Admin Menus
    1) Enable SEO Settings Submenu?
    2) Enable Import/Export Submenu?

    I would like both of those checkboxes unchecked by default. I looked at the user-meta.php file (lib > admin) and it appears that the checkbox value is hardcoded to "1".

    I'm really hoping that when I add 100+ users to the site I don't have to go through each one and uncheck that value.

    I'm aware of the update_user_meta() function, but I'm not aware of one that does it based on role. That would be most excellent.

    Depends on which role they sign up with or you give them but you can use code like this http://wpsites.net/wordpress-admin/remove-different-admin-menu-links-for-a-specific-user-profile/

    You will need to modify the code and use the last line in the Gist

    This line relates to the users capability

    if ( current_user_can('moderate_comments') ) {
