Hi, I am after some help/guidance as I set up my first website on StudioPress.

I am building a membership/subscription site, most likely using the necessary woocommerce solutions (as I will also need a standard shopping cart for digital downloads). Whilst many of the StudioPress themes are very attractive, I noted that third party themes like Prestige (by zigzagpress), Seasons Pro (by wpstudio) and KreativPro (by ThemeSquare) all have form, function or format that suit my brand and requirements slightly better (although no one theme covers eveything).

Before I select one of these over a StudioPress theme I wondered whether any of the Forum members have any experinece of these third party themes, good or bad, that might help me decide. I searched the forum but couldn't find much on these.

Equally, if anyone knows of an alternative (ntoing the excellent but a little expensive Rainmaker Platform) that works well for a purpose such as mine, I'd be keen to have a look.

    Thank you in anticipation.

Speaking only for myself, 3rd party themes (also those offered on Studiopress), are fairly well developed and supported.

It comes down to form and function and which child theme has the closest design to what you are after and needs the least amount of customization.

As for features and functions that will ultimately be decided by who you are marketing to and what your end goals are.

The goal of any Small Business Website after all is speed to market and scale.

Food for thought: You will constantly be making changes (hopefully based on analytics) and so what works today may not work tomorrow.

I have provided theme support for a number of the third party theme developers over the year (and still do); it's been my experience that the developers are anxious for their customers to have a good experience, so provide excellent support.
