I'm using the new Minimum Pro theme which has a portfolio custom post type built in.

If I use this theme's post type to build a portfolio, and later decide to switch themes, will my portfolio be lost?

I've switched themes (studiopress) in the past and never had a problem because it was just posts and pages.
Would this be the same if I decide the use the post type that is built into a theme?
    Thank you

Not all themes include this feature however you can use the code on other themes which is something i have written about several times and found fairly easy to achieve using most child themes built on Genesis.
