I'm not new to web marketing but I'm new to building sites. In early days of planning but I'd expect there will be two main entry points to the website either the blog for specific tips and then the ecommerce aspect for product specific searches. Is this too much of an ask for studiopress themes? Any advice?
You could do something similar to this:
Landing page, clickable through to the blog or the shop. In the instance above, the e-commerce is *not* a SP site, but you can easily add an e-commerce component to your site, and create a separate entry by way of the landing page.
There are a number of SP themes with e-commerce capabilities built in: Modern Blogger Pro and MomPreneur come to mind, but all SP themes can be converted to an e-commerce site.
ecommerce should always be added with a plugin in WordPress - regardless of theme used.
