    The WordPress theme editor is no longer visible or available to me. Since the link to the editor no longer exists in the menu, I type in "...theme-editor.php" and get the message, "Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page."

    I am logged in as an administrator. WordPress 5.3.2 running The 411 Pro Theme theme. Using Genesis 3.2.1.

    Can you help me access the editor? Thanks!

    You can look in your wp-config.php to see if the editor is limited there.
    There would be a line like this
    define('DISALLOW_FILE_EDIT',true);

    You can comment it out with a # in front of the line or delete it.

    Some hosting companies are also limiting access to the theme files, so you can contact them.
