    I am working in the Essence Pro theme and I have tried to adjust the dark gradient over the hero-image on Pages and Posts.

    I have searched in different CSS-files for words like "image, hero, overlay" but I can't find any place to lighten up the filter that covers the hero-image.

    I would be very glad if someone could guide me and tell where I can find the code for the transparent layer over the image.

    Thanks herodogs inc, for the link.
    It lead me to this doc in \public_html\wp-content\themes\essence-pro\lib\header-functions
    On line 229 I found the CSS-code:
    $output = '<style type="text/css">.header-hero { background-image: linear-gradient(0deg, rgba(0,0,0,0.3) 30%, rgba(0,0,0,0.60) 100%), url(' . esc_url( $bg_image ) . '); }</style>';

    So there were no settings in the Customizer for this.

    Problem solved.

    This is helpful and worked for the hero-image. I wanted the gradient to be lighter.
    Anyone know the code (and where it's found) for these two also:
    1. post/page image gradients
    2. after-content featured page/post image gradients

    Thanks!

    Scott
