    Hi there,

I have a new client that is using a French wordpress with a customized theme by the previous designer.

I am switching her theme to genesis with a child theme.   She has WPML installed but it is being used only for translating the theme and plugins.  She is bilingual (so am I), so she writes both the English and the French posts, she doesn't need WPML to do that.

I would just like to confirm that there will be no problems once I switch the site to genesis and that the theme will work with a French wordpress installation.

    her site is http://smartcoaching.ca

Thank you in advance for your help.

I would clone the site to a development server first and test it out there.

I've built a couple of sites with Genesis and WPML, and it can be tricky.

How complex is the code? are there custom post types, custom fields...

You'll have to make the child theme's strings translation ready.

Thank you very much Paul for your help.  I don't think there are custom post types, custom fields but will check.
