    I'm working with the latest Genesis framework and the latest Eleven40 child theme.

    Well, I had to jump through a ton of hoops just to get a standard header to appear on the site. Those hoops included trying outdated fixes like editing the functions.php file, etc. but in the end I modified the css file and other files and resorted to installing the plugin - Genesis Simple Headers (which has it's own bug, but mostly works) to get the header to work.

    I'm sure this is self inflicted, but the button on the search feature is now a red outlined box, with no interior color or "submit" text in it. It's still clickable though.

    The site is suburbantoyota news dot com

    Any help is most appreciated! I'm lost/frustrated.

    Hi,
    No worries, it's all good, just the wrong color text. This bit of CSS will give you black text. It will override the white color that's set in the CSS for the submit button.

    #inner input[type="submit"] {
      color: #000;
    }

    Cheers, Dave

    Dave, it worked like a champ. Thanks.

    Great! Although there's all sorts of cool styling in there, sometimes things need to be un-styled or re-styled. 🙂
