    GaryJ: Split from http://www.studiopress.community/topic/genesis-2-0-0-the-event-calendar-problem/

    Hi,

    there a re heavy problems here. I use WP 3.6, Genesis 2.0.1, events calendar pro 3.0.4 (same error also with 3.0.5).

    It seems that if the user navigates through events, the hook genesis_before_content_sidebar_wrap is not using my custom function I need there. This function works perfectly well, when the user does not navigate an event or a event list. Even putting an "echo" statement in the very first line of that function does not produce the output, but it shows the "echo" statement if I do not navigate within events.

    best regards,
    Heinz

    I did another test with a very simple function:

    add_action( 'genesis_before_content_sidebar_wrap', 'ew_test' );
    function ew_test() {
    	echo "<!-- ew_test here -->\r\n";
    }

    This function is not called if I navigate to the events list. The hook seems to be ignored.

    The genesis_before_content_sidebar_wrap is called as part of genesis(). Are you using some custom template or something, which doesn't call genesis() ?

    I had chosen the wrong template in the settings of events calendar pro. It needs to be "Default page template (WordPress)" (in German: "Standard-Seitenvorlage (WordPress)").

    This makes the above mentioned hook to work, but the list of events is broken now. It's not a list, just some list of words from an event of the category "uncategorized" (which does not exist).

    Which makes it now a tri.be-problem (developers of that plugin) I guess 😉

    Next success:

    Genesis > Theme Settings > Content Archives option needs to be set to Display post content

    Now it's only the page navigation at the end of the list, which is still broken. Doing a research on that ......
