I was trying to change the header on my NewsPro theme so it's fixed in the middle and things went wrong. While trying to fix the mess I created more mess and now I cant log in my wordpress account so i can fix my site, someone told me to replace the news-pro theme folder with the original one using filezilla and so I did. It did not fix the problem now I get this message :
Warning: include_once(/home3/kumtesau/public_html/wp-content/themes/news-pro/lib/theme-defaults.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home3/kumtesau/public_html/wp-content/themes/news-pro/functions.php on line 6
Warning: include_once(): Failed opening '/home3/kumtesau/public_html/wp-content/themes/news-pro/lib/theme-defaults.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/opt/php54/lib/php') in /home3/kumtesau/public_html/wp-content/themes/news-pro/functions.php on line 6
And still can't login. What do I do? Help please.
Try this: FTP into your site again with Filezilla, then go into the
/home3/kumtesau/public_html/wp-content/themes/ folder, find the
news-pro folder, and rename it to
WordPress will see that the theme is missing and revert to a default theme. You should now be able to log into your WordPress admin panel. Once logged in, Appearance > Themes, click on the Add New button, then the Upload Theme button, upload the zip file for the News Pro theme, and click the Install Now button.
That will install a fresh version of your theme, and as long as you haven't touched your database, it should still be in tact.
Thanks for your time sir, I did as you asked but the problem is not solved, I still can't log in, the page just refreshes. This is the url I get though : http://kumtesa.com/wp-login.php?redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Fkumtesa.com%2Fwp-admin%2F&reauth=1
Do you think uninstalling wordpress and reinstalling it might solve the problem?
That's taking you to the admin login, so if you know your username and password you should be able to log in. If you don't know your password, you can click the Lost your password? link, enter your email address and reset it. If you don't remember your username, I'm afraid I can't help you get back in.
