Looking for a solution that's fairly automated for selling domain names (secondary market, not new registrations). I'd like something similar to a GoDaddy auction site: can offer domains at "buy now" or for auction.

My main goal is that each 'domain name for sale' would have a separate page or post and list information specific to that domain, have a way to make an offer/buy, ask a question, etc.
    - Which would be better: separate pages or posts?

1.) Thought about using the AgentPress Pro theme (real estate) with the custom post types

    2. ) I've been looking at purchasing this plugin from HTMLpie: http://htmlpie.com/domain-for-sale-wordpress-plugin
    - Has anyone had an experience working with this plugin or could possible suggest a different one?
    - It's advertised to work with "any theme". What issues would I want to look for if using with SP?

    - here is an email response from their support:
"As for custom post types, I'm so proud to say no 🙂 unlike many other plugins and themes that leave a mess behind, this plugin has its very own DB table that stores all the data regarding offers etc, and 1 single "wp option" string that stores global and domain-specific configurations, leaving all your WordPress untouched as much as possible and clean! before, during, and after using this plugin alike!"

3.) WPMUdev has a few plugins that will map domains and allow me to create the online "store".
    - How compatible are their plugins with StudioPress?

    Open to Suggestions. Thanks! E.J.

Dude, it's $10 and comes with a free theme.

Plus it uses a separate db table instead of cramming everything into post_meta table.

You could either spend about the equivalent of two cups of coffee and try out the plugin, or If you wanted to do it via custom post types, custom fields, etc, but you could easily blow trough $100 in plugins and STILL have to do the heavy lifting yourself...

I would say go for it, but I don't know how important it is to you to get all the benefits of genesis.

    Thanks for the reply AnotherUserName.

The issue isn't with the $10; it is having a plugin that's compatible and kept up to date with WP versions. Reliability.

So the separate DB is a benefit?

What benefits of genesis would you anticipate me giving up if using this plugin?
