    Simple question...trying to add a simple Soliloquy slider to my associate theme; where exactly does this go? I want to add it in the 'featured' section. I assume in the functions.php, or do I have that wrong. I know the short co

    I can't believe I can't get a straight answer from the dorks who created it; that's why I'm glad you guys are around.

    if ( function_exists( 'soliloquy_slider' ) ) soliloquy_slider( '48' );

    it looks like you can add the slider via shortcode in which case you can do this,

    put this code in functions.php

    // Use shortcodes in text widgets.
    add_filter('widget_text', 'do_shortcode');
    

    then add your slider shortcode to a text widget in the featured widget section of your theme
