    Hello all, was wondering if anyone here has successfully added Slider Revolution to the Altitude Pro front page?
    The slider provides the following code:
    <?php putRevSlider("vertical_fullwidth","homepage") ?>
    I have no idea to translate this into a function placing the slider above the front page widgets or within one of the widgets.

    TIA! EE

    Update: never mind - figured it out, at least for inside a widget

    Could you tell us how you did it?

    you would just add the Rev Slider shortcode to the desired home widget area 🙂

    Dear Pixelhappy,

    I placed a shortcode of home slider from SliderPro into the text widget for Front Page 1 but it does not work.

    Just to avoid confusion, as short codes don't work in WordPress text widgets by default, but I enabled them by adding the following code to our theme's functions.php file:

    add_filter( 'widget_text', 'do_shortcode' );

    The slider does become visible but it does not display well:
    - only the bottom half of the slider is visible
    - part of the background image underneath is still visible above the home slider
    - the other home page images have all disappeared and instead sections of the home slider appear

    Hence, any suggestions for a solution would be greatly appreciated.

    Many thanks for your help
