Is there sitemap.xml generated anywhere on Genesis themes?

    Thank you.

No but you can easily add a sitemap via a plugin if needed.http://wordpress.org/plugins/google-sitemap-generator/

Personally, i don't use one because i have added single post links and an updated script for the publish date.

I find sitemaps cause too many problems.

Hi Works. I have heard that the google sitemap generator plugin is a bit of a resourse hog. If you have yoast seo plugin installed, it has an xml sitemap feature.

    Hi Pxforti,

awe.. so here i am... being happy that now, as i bought the premium themes, i don't have to install Yoast and other plugins on other plugins which keep asking me to update manually like every other day and send me other distractive notices lol

May i ask you for a bit of elaboration: who is taking what kind of resources from me with the sitemap.xml? (i am sorry i am not an native speaker.  Having troubles understanding this issue clearly).

    Thank you, i appreciate it.

Yoast is incredible and does all the XML sitemap work for you.

FYI if you click on the "See my XML Sitemap" button within the plugin and you get a 404 error page, this is BAD.

Luckily, all you have to do is uncheck the "enable XML sitemap" button, save, then check the box again and save.

That worked for me to get rid of the 404 error page. Now just go to google webmaster tools and submit the sitemap url.

Last step: put a fork in your XML sitemap problems, cause' their DONE. 😉
