    I updated to Genesis 2.1 and the site width got messed up.

    I asked this question before but I can't find the old answer. I think it was 640.

    Will changing this affect if it is mobile responsive? The child theme is prose.

    Changing the site width for desktop viewing should not mess up your mobile responsiveness, unless you also made updates to the mobile queries. Your site looks fine on my iPhone 5. It displays correctly.
