    Hello!
I'm trying to create the site map with no plugin. For various reasons I don't want plugins if possible.
I've used Google Sitemap Generator and with 1 click it gave me the site map. Now it says do to this:
    1. Upload the site map into the domain root folder of the site
    2. Go to webmaster account and add the site map url

    My questions:
    - What about the first step? Shall I enter into my domain/hosting account and upload the map there?
    - With this method, how will I update the site map? Every time I create a new page, what shall I do?

Thank you very much if someone will answer, this is the first website I do and it's a great adventure! I'm happy I've chosen Genesis.

    Hi,

I thought the stopped development of the google sitemap generator?

For the first step, yes, you have to upload the sitemap from within your hosting account, if you don't have FTP access set up.

When you add new pages or posts you will have to manually update the sitemap or use the sitemap generator again.

Enjoy the adventure. It sure is fun! 🙂

    Hi,
    thank you!

When I add new pages, shall I go each time into FTP to manually update? Or it will be there a page or something in the site, once I've done it the first time?

    Thank you !!!

    Thank you very much,

I was just studying about it... I update the site very often, so I'm choosing a plugin, a light one. It will be one of the very few plugins on my website.

    Thank you very much!
