I ran several widgets in the sidebar with pictures in them.

If I link a widget to an url it makes all the widgets below it link to the same url as the top widget above it. If you look at the sidebar on my website:
    http://www.macpinstriping.com/sandbox/
you will see the top widget box linked to google.com. The two widget boxes below link to google now, even though the code in these two boxes are just unlinked src pictures with no href links.

The John Lennon widget I linked to yahoo.com, the three widgets below are now linking to yahoo even though there is no code in the widgets to make such a link.

I must be missing a setting somewhere? I'm at a bit of a loss on this one.

Try putting your "a" tags before and after the image instead of on the widget.

    Hi

I am also trying to place a link in a widget, like this

    Google

But if I click on the link, I get a 404 page and see that the URL of this page is like this:
    http://www.mysite.com/http:/www.google.com

I really don't have a clue why this is.....

I am using the altitude theme 1.0.0

jufo could you post the widget code here, or some facsimile of it so people could have a look at where the problem might be?

I have a similar problem. but I don't follow what you mean by adding the a tags to the image, and I do have the closing in place, but it still links all the images to the one target.

He meant that you should post the code you inserted in the widget. The a tag is the link. It should look something like this:

    Google
