    Hei Gerda

    If I understand you correctly:

    What about trying something like this: https://wordpress.org/plugins/featured-image/

    If you want to use different sidebars for different pages there are a few plugins for this. I use this:
    http://easywebdesigntutorials.com/content-aware-sidebar-plugin/

    There are a few out there.

    Have a great evening.

    Hi paaljoachim,
    thanks for your help. I found a way using a function.
    http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/get_the_post_thumbnail

    //* [featured]
    function foobar_func( $atts ){
    	echo get_the_post_thumbnail();
    }
    add_shortcode( 'featured', 'foobar_func' );

    Cheers
    Gerda
