    Hi

    I am trying to show the comment form on single custom post type by default, but I can't get it to work. I am using an HTML genesis child theme - I have

    1) added

    'supports' => array('title','editor','thumbnail', 'genesis-seo','comments')
    to the $args for my register post type

    2) I have added the wordpress comments_template( '', true ); function to my cpt single template.

    If I manually check the box on the custom post editor - 2 comment boxes will show (due to 2)above I am assuming) but if I don't check it on every instance of the post, nothing shows - I am assuming that Genesis is somehow over-riding it, because I have only ticked posts to have comments in the Genesis Admin settings (there is no checkbox for my cpt).

    Any suggestions as to what I have missed / done wrong etc?
