Using Genesis Frameworks theme, and child of course, I am not able to see where to enable posting comments is messed up on my site. I have comments enabled on the posts as far as I can tell, according to the Codex "Turning on Comments for Multiple Posts or Pages
    bulk action allow comments.png

From the Posts/Pages screen, check the boxes next to the posts or Pages on which you want to enable comments. Select "Edit" from the "Bulk Edit" Dropdown box and click Apply. Then, select "Allow" next in the Comments dropdown box and finish by clicking "update." "

what else am I missing allowing people to comment? Not even sure where to start looking for this one.

From your WordPress dashboard, hover over Settings and click Discussion. You may have the box checked that says to close comments after a certain number of days. Beyond this... I'm not certain! Sounds like you already checked a lot of the right places.

If the comments were closed on a specific post or page, you have to edit that specific page and check "allow comments".

Yes, I've checked the obvious spots to allow comments. But on this blog page there is no mention of comments at all, open or closed. No space to make a comment, no options. So it's gotta be in the code somewhere?
