Does anyone have experience making Genesis themes Section 508 compliant?

The rules are outlined here: http://www.section508.gov/

I am trying to determine how much time this should take.

Are there good plugins or do themes need to be altered?

    Thanks,
    Josh

    Hi Josh,
Themes generally need to be altered and some plugins will introduce problems as well. A good place to start may be with Rian Rietveld's review of the beta version of Genesis 2.0. She outlines some things that need to be adjusted. She has also created an accessible child theme for Genesis.

Joe Dolson's WP-Accessibility plugin addresses some issues as well, and would be worth installing.

Hope this helps. I'm really glad to see this question in the forum!
    Pam
