I am using the same theme right now and was wondering if it's bad? I think it's the cleanest and does the job, but it's titled "sample theme", so I am just wondering if that's not a good theme to choose. WHat do you run?

    No, it's good. 🙂

I love the sample theme. If you have some coding knowledge, it's all you need. But if you are just wanting a simple, straightforward theme I think it's good for that too.

The sample theme runs on the Genesis framework, so you get all the benefits of Genesis. Other themes have extra flashy styling and features such as custom post types, extra widget areas and so on. But these are just add ons. You could add them all to the sample theme equally well. The best idea is to find something close to what you already have in mind. If the sample theme meets your criteria, you're good to go.

It's like a default theme for Genesis.

It's a great free theme which i use on my own site.
