After updating to Genesis 2.2.6, we saw the following error repeating on our splash page and administrative dashboard. Turning off plugins did not help until I turned off all supplemental Genesis plugins (eNews Extended, Responsive Slider, Simple Edits). I pulled the previous Genesis from a recent backup, cleared out the folder on the FTP, and put 2.2.5 back in. Problem "solved." Comments??

you should open a ticket with the official Studiopress support at
http://my.studiopress.com/helpFWIW, I have not seen this error with enews and simple edits but I´m not using Genesis Responsive Slider.

January 9, 2016 at 4:07 pm #176080flyingpylonMemberYou're not the only one with this problem, I have it too. Just Google "genesis Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in term-meta.php on line 256" and you will see that many others have it as well.

I received several suggestions (below). I don't know that I should say which of these worked, since each install is unique. But it was an easy fix ...
1- Look at the functions.php file for your theme. Have you added any custom code? Could it be contributing to this problem?
2- At the following page, do you see a prompt to upgrade your WordPress database?
your-domain-whatever.com/wp-admin/upgrade.php
If you see an upgrade prompt, make a full backup of your site. Then click the button to upgrade your WP database.
Then upgrade Genesis to 2.2.62- Do you have a caching plugin enabled? When you deactivate plugins and test, do you clear the cache and deactivated the cache plugin? If not, first clear the cache of cache plugin, then deactivate the plugin. Then perform the
Genesis upgrade again to see if the error persists. If so, try deactivating other plugins again while the cache plugin remains disabled.January 9, 2016 at 7:08 pm #176093flyingpylonMemberokieman: Thanks for the reply. The problem is not #2 or #3, and #1 is pretty vague, so I've opened a support ticket and we'll see what they say. I was hoping to at least find some background info or a place to start looking but for now I've just reverted to 2.2.5.

I just noticed that I have the same issue on a site. Did you make any progress on this in your support ticket?

As it turns out, it was the fact that the database needed to upgraded as described by okieman in #2 above. I didn't think that was it because I had already run the "update network" process (this is a multisite install). However, our WP update had been pushed from a version control system and although the files got updated, the database had not. So go to your-domain-whatever.com/wp-admin/upgrade.php and if it says a database upgrade is needed, that should do it.
January 19, 2016 at 3:04 pm #176958pagerankParticipantThanks, this worked. I have a multisite and had to do this on each site individually. Not sure if it was due to having mapped domains or not.

If you use Travis Smith's Genesis Sandbox Featured Content widget plugin, you'll need to "hide" or move that plugin first.
