Hi- I've bought the Metric theme- not knowing what could be manipulated & what can't. (I'm not a designer so to maybe have a 'tick-box' of things that are easily changed in a theme would be useful before buying- e.g change background colours? yes/no, change size of logo?, yes, no etc).

The logo size is set at 340x120 which does not look right for me at all- therefore I have been trying all sorts of different things like adding hooks to change it, but as a consequence have lost other things such as the navigation bar- I have deleted both the theme and genesis itself from my wordpress site as I wanted to get the metric theme back to 'factory settings' and start gain- having re-uploaded- the old settings have remained- is there a way to return to factory settings?

You are probably going to have to change the CSS.
I am in no way an expert , Im sure they will respond soon.
Genesis is very different than a lot of other themes. To change some things in Genesis, it must be done in the child themes CSS file, functions.php file, etc.

I'll be honest, I was you 8 months ago and considered switching to something I could manage, however, I wanted the best, and I felt Genesis was the best WP platform made, so I forced myself out of my comfort zone and learned a bunch of stuff I would have never learned, and most of it came from people on this forum.

You need to get a fresh version of the child theme and upload it to return to the "factory" settings.

Hi there- I stuck at trying to resolve the size of header issue and managed to do it with great help from here http://wpsites.net/web-design/change-logo-header-image-size-in-genesis/. Far to go yet though!
