When you visit our site, the slider takes several seconds to load and appear. When I checked the Page Speed Insights within Google Webmaster Tools, the suggested fix is "Eliminate render-blocking JavaScript and CSS
    in above-the-fold content."

According to Studiopress, "The slight delay is actually being caused by our caching plugin (W3 Total Cache). It's cached the rest of the page so it has to load the page then go get the slider."

I tried making some adjustments, but I can't seem to find a way to fix the problem in W3 Total cache. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Try another caching plugin like WP Super Cache or even better still, managed hosting which uses proprietary caching.

Caching plugins only cache about half your site.

Also you'll find the soliloquy premium version slider loads really fast.
