Hi, I know there's been a few posts about this. I've found that some things work, others don't seem to. It seems pretty confusing and complicated to change the size and positioning of the Header Image.

I've managed to change the sizes in the Functions.php file so the image is is 650 x 120. I then added code found in one of these posts so that the image would actually show at that size. However, it still cropped the image to the original 380 x 90 size, even when clearing cache.

I've gone through the code and tweaked little bits. I've managed to get the image to show at the right size, but it gives a lot of padding under the image. I think this might be an issue with the widget having too much top padding.

What I want to do is centre the header image and have a small amount of padding, an inch maybe, top and bottom of both image and widget.

Does anyone know how to do this?
The site I'm working on is http://www.shorescripts.com

    Many Thanks,
    Dave

The header image usually creates a background and you can manipulate it with some background positioning for CSS.

There's a plugin called Easy Genesis Logo Uploader (https://wordpress.org/plugins/genesis-logo-uploader/)
that will actually make the logo an image, which is a bit easier to manipulate, you just need to remove the custom header function.

Just tried that. Unfortunately it doesn't work. Once you upload the image it doesn't appear in the header - well it's invisble.
You can click and the links still there but you don't see anything. Also, it was still placed exactly where my old logo was.

Doe you know the padding I need to adjust so there's a lot less space under the logo and a bit more above it?

    Thanks.
