Hi all... I'd like to replace the blog section with a widget area below home middle on the Education Pro theme.

I was able to delete the blog section, but haven't been able to replace it with a widget.

    Thanks!

    Hi there,

This tutorial from Carrie's site covers what you need to do to remove the blog section and add a widget area.

Even though it's for another Genesis theme, the basic premise still applies and the homepages are similar in layout. You'll want to add your widget area to one of the functions in Education Pro's front-page.php page. Please use caution whenever editing your PHP files, a mistake or typo can cause you site to not load. Make sure you have FTP or file access via your host .
