    Hi, I've just begun learning how to use genesis and I am having a problem where I can't use the remove_action in my functions.php file. I am using the genesis sandbox theme to learn some basic customization. On this theme I want to remove the site description from all my pages so I placed this in my functions file:

    remove_action( 'genesis_site_description', 'genesis_seo_site_description');

    This doesn't work so i placed it in my front-page.php file and it works but I want this to be global. Is this possible?

    Cheers

    It's the same, but copy and paste this in to the functions file. Don't remove the spaces (that shouldn't have any impact, but just to make sure).

    remove_action( 'genesis_site_description', 'genesis_seo_site_description' );

    If that doesn't work, can you post your whole functions.php file and I'll see if there is something else causing a conflict.

    Be careful with the code in this thread - the ' should be straight, not curved.

    Damn. I thought I'd put that in a code box.

    Yup. Kellylise is right.
