I've got WordPress appending a number ("-3") to the end of most of my posts. I believe this is a database issue and need to delete the original slugs.

Does anyone know of a quick/easy way to stop this from happening?

    Howdy,

WordPress does not allow you to have multiple pages with the same name, so any time you want to add a new page with a name that is the same as an existing page, it adds -2,-3, etc to the page slug. To fix this, check the slugs of all of your pages to make sure there are no duplicates. Be sure to also check your Trash, as pages there still count in this case. Once you've deleted and removed from the trash the duplicate pages, you can then change the slug to your pages to remove the number.

    Hope that helps!
