    Hi there

It's my first time using Genesis and the Daily Dish theme. Can anyone tell me how I can remove the Genesis/Daily Dish/Wordpress/Login info/links in the footer please?

    Many thanks.

Use the Genesis Simple Edits plugin and then you will be able to easily modify the footer.

Or you can do it with .css. Lots of tutorials on web for this.

    Thanks Andykev

I am trying to avoid too many plugins really. My friend can do the css, we were just trying to identify if there was an easy-to-find place for the existing code for these footer items.

    Hi Andy,

It´s very short sided to think all plugins have an equal impact on your website.
Simple edits does not add more overhead to your website as if you added code found here: http://my.studiopress.com/snippets/footer/#credits to your functions.php.

I'd advice against just hiding it with css because the server has already rendered the output.

    Hi Christoph

Thanks for your comments and the very helpful links. 🙂

I hear what you're saying about the plugins.

    Many thanks.

    Hi,

I used these instructions to change the content in the footer middle, but I'm using a 3rd party theme and they also have something t the right (COPYRIGHT © 2016 · GLAM THEME BY RESTORED 316) which I can't seem to edit with this widget.. Any tips?

    Hi,

that is added directly in functions.php (starting with //* Customize the credits )
You can either change it there or comment out / delete the whole add_filter section and the plugin should work.

    Thanks Christoph.

I removed the filter part and it worked.
