MemberHello all - as always I like to get some feedback on my work. I just recently revamped my personal website so if anyone has some time to give some unbiased feedback (positive or negative) it would be appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
Matt

MemberLooks geat. Maybe a bit messy. The other sites that you have designed look better. I would give more importance to your potfolio. Some are impressive.

MemberGreetings and thanks for the reply. If you don't mine me asking - can you be more specific as to what you mean by "a bit messy"? It's a pretty simple site so I'm curious what you mean.
Thanks.

MemberGreating.
By messy I mean that when I enter I see a "4 boxes structure". Just the picture call my attention. Then I read the titles to get an idea about what is the site about. But they just read "Welcome", "Services" and "testimonionials". So I scroll down and I find a "three columns structure". Then from the heading "Proyects" I get an idea.
I would prefer a welcome headings that says something like "Wordpress theme development". The picture looks write. Later "see my proyect", "testimonials". And "Joing my newsletter" call to action to contact. I mean something that can reduce the time to know the site proposal in two seconds.
Just an idea 😉
PS: I love your site http://carolinehayden.com/

MemberThanks for the feedback! I understand what you're saying. I think I like the one word headers better -- keeps it uniform, but I certainly understand what you mean.
Thanks for the compliments on the other sites as well!

ParticipantI like it!
It does feel a bit busy/cluttered though. A little more vertical whitepsace in each content area might help.

ParticipantHey Matt, I just had a quick look and my 2 cents worth is as follows:
First off, the home page loaded very fast, so well done on that front!
The site is nice, and bright and colourful and looks modern, which I like.
I noticed 2 things which I thought I'd bring to your attention as I would have done them differently:
a) The titles of the recent posts - I would have liked a smaller font. As it is, it looks heavy and clunky.
b) I would have less of the preview text for the PondHole project. As they stand, I think they make the page look a bit cluttered. I would like to see more white space. That's just my opinion though and I am no expert (I'm not a developer or anything).
I hope my comments will be of some help. Best of luck in everything and warm regards,

MemberHey Indika,
Thank you for the feedback! I do think reducing the size of the post titles is a good idea. They are <h2> tags which are that size throughout the site, but they do look a little oversized there.
Again - thank you for taking the time to take a look! I certainly appreciate it!
Cheers,
Matt
