I am using the Genesis Framework with the simple theme. My configuration is sidebar-content-sidebar.

I require reducing the space between the outer sidebars (in the horizontal direction across the page). Mainly, I would like to increase the width of the central content block to fill the space more effectively, but I would also like to be able to adjust the widths of the sidebars at some time in the future.

I want to be able to do this whilst maintain the same width of the site.

Also, I need the site to scale properly in the originally intended responsive manner across all devices, desktop, tablet and mobile.

I did get offered a solution by Studiopress, but implementing meant the site went bonkers when the width of the browser was reduced, and also for tablet and mobile making it right dogs dinner in those two modes.

I realise this is probably non-trivial. I appreciate any ideas or light that can be shed on the issue.

Many thanks for your time in advance, Ben.

I’m going to close this thread, as it is very old and unanswered. I am hoping that you were able to find your solution in the meantime.
