    Our website is http://www.mlwiz.com/home and we were trying to rid of the /home portion of the URL. We went into functions.php via Filezilla and added:
    update_option('siteurl','http://example.com');
    update_option('home','http://example.com');
    then deleted the code above. Now, we're stuck in a constant redirect loop and have no idea what to do. We're fairly new to WordPress, as we're making the transition from Adobe Muse. Any advice would be appreciated. We're using Enterprise-Pro theme with Genesis framework.

    I think its best you do the redirect at the server level using either your .htaccess file or the cPanel redirection tool.

    Please ask your web host if you don;t understand .htaccess coding.

    Another option is to migrate your files into the top level directory and search, find, replace the links in your database using a plugin like WP Migrate DB or BackupBuddy.
