Looking to create a way for my team to post update race results easily every race (which can be as often as every weekend - so it has to be quick too)

Looking at these as general ideas:
    http://www.usacycling.org/results/index.php?permit=2013-1813
    http://www.usacycling.org/nrc/
    http://www.mbra.org/ (sidebar series points leaders)

Any creative thoughts or suggestions on how I can achieve this? At the moment they upload a PDF every week that can be downloaded. There has to be an easier way ><

Currently fiddling with LeagueManager and Motor Racing League plugins to see if I can make them do what we need.

    Thanks

I would think about a custom post type with perhaps categories for events and taxonomies for each person (if your team is fairly static) would be a good solution.

Have you considered gravity forms to create a post or a custom post type? http://yoast.com/gravity-forms-custom-post-types/
