Questions about Whitespace Pro and Author Pro themes

I'm shopping for a new theme and can't figure out, based on the demos:

Whitespace Pro: Can I link 3 Pages in the widget area directly below the homepage banner instead of Posts? I'm not going to blog, so I'd like to link my 3 services pages to individual pages from the homepage - I don't want the date to appear at the top of each box like it would if I used Posts.

Author Pro: the third widget down from the homepage banner/text - can I input headlines for each text box? Can I link each box (via button) to different pages? Here again, these boxes would be for services.

Whitespace Pro: That's not a widget area, that's the Genesis loop running after the "Welcome" widget area. You could swap the loop to present your pages with HTML or add a new widget area and drop in Featured Pages widgets. Some styling tweaks will also be required.

Author Pro: I believe you are talking about the section with quotes/testimonials - they are simply 3 text boxes in a widget area (Front Page 4). Again, you could present your pages with HTML or drop in Featured Pages widgets. Some styling tweaks will also be required.
