    How would I adjust the featured widget so that when you go into a post page, I only have 10 images on display against the 20 that appears on the home page? The home page has many more articles so 20 images is great for the widget but individual article page are shorter so a shorter amount of images is needed for the widget.

    Method 1

    Use two Featured Posts widgets one below the other. Use a plugin like Widget Logic or Display Widgets so that the first widget appears on the Posts page and the second one on single Post pages.

    Method 2

    Use another sidebar for use with single Post pages and place the Featured Posts widget in this sidebar (along with any other common widgets) having less no. of posts.

    Ex.: http://genesissnippets.com/display-a-custom-sidebar-on-a-custom-post-type/

    You would change

    is_singular('post_type')

    to

    is_single()
