    I have been trying to get the Genesis Responsive Slider working properly on my site. It works pretty well except that the excerpt heading is too large and all the text is almost invisible due to the light gray color. I found the code in the style.css file which allows me to change the heading size and color but cannot find any way to change the rest of the excerpt color. Can anyone help me with this?

    I am not very experienced when it comes to modifying CSS code and am reluctant to make significant changes to the style.css file. There must be an easier way to change the font, font-size and color in this or other plug-ins. If so, I would really appreciate being pointed in the right direction.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello,

    Is the site live? If so, we may be able to guide you on updating the style.css file to fit your needs.

    Thanks for your help. The site is live but not yet fully populated. The slider that I am having troubles with is on the home page here. http://www.tomatotriangle.com/

    As I said before, I found the H2 header for this area, (Home Top Left), and was able to change the font size and color but for the life of me, I cannot find where the excerpt text css is located.

    I would also like to change the background color of the excerpt box as well, if someone can point me to where it might be.

    This widget would be much easier to work with if controls for the fonts and colors for the various elements were included in the settings dialogue.

    Hello,

    Here is what I was able to get for the slider excerpt font color;

    #home-top .genesis_responsive_slider p{
        color: #333;
    }

    The excerpt width is being define in the head of the site, so you will have to override it in your style.css file like so;

    .slide-excerpt {
        width: 40% !important;
    }

    I hope this helps.

    Thanks Ryan. As you can probably tell, I am a WordPress newbie so here is my first dumb question for you. Where do I put this new code? Do I just add it to the bottom of the style.css file or put it somewhere else?

    If you have time, I have another newbie question. I am using the feature post widget in the Home Top Right area. In order to get the text to display in this area, I have to set the font color to white. The problem is that I will not be displaying all the text in this area of the home page so there is a more button taking the viewer to the actual page to read the rest of the text. On this page, the text is not readable because it is white. How do I resolve this problem.

    Ideally, I would like all my "Read More" buttons to open a popup on the home page that contains the entire text of the page it points to and not send the reader to the actual page. I am certain that this can be done but have not yet found a way.

    Thanks again for your help.

    Hello,

    You can add it to the bottom of the style.css file.

    As for the second question, the solution would be similar to this one.
