    Hello,

    I hope you're well.

    I'm not quite sure how this happened, but my author page is going to the wrong place. it should be pointing here http://seniormarketing.com/author/seniorm6, but is instead going here, http://seniormarketing.com/author/Senior%20Marketing/

    my site is http://www.seniormarketing.com and you can see what is happening if you go to the blog page and click on the author for a post. It seems like it's pulling the sitename and not the user profile?  Any thoughts?

    Thanks,

    Kevin

    Hi Kevin,

    This is very odd. Can you check under "Users" that the nickname is filled in for this author and the display name as dropdown is set to something sensible please?

    If they are and resaving your user profile doesn't solve the problem, try pasting the following in your functions.php file, refresh the blog page and see if the link works then. Also test a single blog page.

    /** Customize the post info function */
    add_filter( 'genesis_post_info', 'post_info_filter' );
    function post_info_filter($post_info) {
    if ( !is_page() ) {
    $post_info = '[post_date] by [post_author_posts_link] [post_comments] [post_edit]';
    return $post_info;
    }}

    Ya really weird stuff. Pasting that into the functions file didn't work. I think I fixed it though. I found this here http://helgeklein.com/blog/2010/11/wordpress-author-page-not-found-error-404-if-space-in-url/

    Now the link is working, except I'm not sure if there's supposed to be an author bio there or if this is just an archive page?

    Thanks,

    Kevin

    Hi Kevin,

    That's looking better. The author bio will dependant on whether this is filled in and whether your theme is setup to display it.
