    How can I control how the post titles display in the Genesis Responsive Slider?

    I want to remove the headline artwork (the pink banner) from the Blissful theme and shorten the height of the text box for this site: http://www.monica-suma.com/

    As always, thanks in advance!

    Cheers,
    Michaela

    Remove the background from this code on Line 852 of your child themes style.css file.

    .home #content h2 {
        background: url("images/headline-post-pink.png") no-repeat scroll left center #FEF4F2;
        height: 34px;
        margin: 0 0 10px -30px;
        padding: 13px 0 0 80px;
    }

    Change to this:

    .home #content h2 {
        background: none;
        height: 34px;
        margin: 0 0 10px -30px;
        padding: 13px 0 0 80px;
    }

    This will remove the pink ribbon and the background color.

    Or you could leave the background color and just remove the ribbon:

    .home #content h2 {
        background: #FEF4F2;
        height: 34px;
        margin: 0 0 10px -30px;
        padding: 13px 0 0 80px;
    }

    To remove the ribbon and the background color for your titles sitewide, use this code:

    #content h2 {
        background: none;
        height: 34px;
        margin: 0 0 10px -30px;
        padding: 13px 0 0 80px;
    }

    Most of the other code is in this block which you can modify using Firebug in real time before you make the changes in your file.

    Thanks for your feedback Brad!

    I actually don't want to remove the banner from the post itself - I just don't want it showing up in the Genesis Responsive Slider on the home page.

    Would I need to change the code in the Slider files?

    Cheers,
    Michaela

    No. Use the slider class and the code above.

    Hi Brad. Just got around to trying out this solution. It actually removes the banner and ribbon from the posts that appear on the home page, which is not what I want. I just don't want the banner and ribbon to appear in the photos of the Genesis Responsive Slider.

    Any other ideas?

    Thanks!
    Michaela

    Did you use the class for the slider with the code i supplied?

    Or did you simply use the code above without changing the class to target the slider?

    Thanks Brad. Where do I add the flexslider code? In the style.css?

    OK - That removed the banner/ribbon but it also removed the post title. I still want that to appear on the responsive slider.

    Thanks!
