I created a static home page for my blog, named as Home. I also created a new page called Blog, which lists the blog posts.

I then went to customize the theme settings (Executive Pro) and changed the setting on the Static Frontpage section as follows:

Front page: Home
Post page: Blog

Now, I do have a static home page and posts are displayed under the Blog virtual directory. However, blog post images are not showed on the blog post index listing. Only when I enter an individual post, I can see the image as usual.

Ideas?

You mean featured images, yes? Have you looked under:
Dashboard > Genesis > Theme Settings > Content Archives > "Include the Featured Image?"
