Post Date

My post date is displaying as "Apr 30 2018" but I need to have the day first for UK.

Ive checked and my Location and date settings in WP general settings are correct. Ive tried switching them to different options like year first and nothing will change the post date format.

Is there any function I can add to force the post dates to be day, month, year?

Thanks for responding, as mentioned above I have tried to change the Date Format to any (and all) of the other options in the general settings but the date will not change from "Apr 30 2018".

Do these settings only affect future posts? Im having this problem with two seperate sites..

I just changed it to custom: l, F j, Y and added a new test post, the format has not changed..

Im also set the London as the Timezone so theres no reason I should be getting the U.S date format?

Hi MikeC,

Is it possible that your date format is being impacted by a plugin or code in your functions.php file?

I ask because both changes (d F, Y and l, F j, Y) applied to
Settings=>General=>Date Format ->Custom field
moved the date fields for me.

Note that (d F, Y) placed the date number first and (l, F j, Y) placed the day of the week first.
