    Hi,
    I write about productivity and technology on my blog workreadplay.com. My biggest problem is I can attract traffic but my email sign-ups are low.

    Can you recommend a Genesis theme that can help?

    I like Balance but it doesn't have HTML 5 mark up.

    I want a theme that's easy for people to read text on and is responsive. I'd also like to be able to customise it relatively easily.

    I like sans-serif fonts; is it easy to change fonts and colours in Genesis child themes?

    Hi!

    I think theme questions are always a little difficult to answer because it basically boils down to your preferences. With any Genesis child theme, you'll have CSS included for the Genesis eNews Extended plugin, which will allow you to put in opt-in boxes that match the theme.

    I personally really like Enterprise Pro for a tech type of site. Here is what the blog template looks like: http://demo.studiopress.com/enterprise/templates/blog/

    The theme has several color options to choose from, or you can pick your own if you're comfortable editing CSS. If you don't want to dig into the code, I'd highly recommend checking out the Genesis Design Palette Pro plugin - it makes changing colors and fonts super easy. Hope that helps!

    I would use the Expose theme - http://demo.studiopress.com/expose/ - so it's not such as drastic switch from what you have now to what you will create later. This will give you the extra areas you want for your subscription boxes on each page and post. And still give you that clean look.
