    Attempted to alter php file
    by adding
    <?php
    add_action( 'init' , 'as247_remove_slider_styles' , 15 );function as247_remove_slider_styles() {remove_action( 'wp_print_styles' , 'genesis_slider_styles' );
    }
    then I got this error

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '<' in C:\xampp\apps\wordpress\htdocs\wp-content\themes\streamline-pro\functions.php on line 167
    So then I tried to go back and remove the code inserted and it still has this error.
    How do I fix this?

    Please paste the code in a Github Gist and embed it here so it can be copied and tested locally. Thanks.

    Please also link to the source of the code.

    Copying from a webpage will cause errors.

    You can also access your cpanel and remove any unwanted codes you've place in your PHP files

    To speed up the process please post the link to the website in question.

    We recommend using Firebug to view source codes http://getfirebug.com/
