Just noted today that the Permalink to posts is not visible when I click on the title within the WordPress editor. This is a pain as it's my go-to method for copying internal links for other posts. I've tried the "save the permalink" option under settings permalinks, but it's still not visible. I'm using the essence pro theme. If anybody has a solution it would be much appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Dave

Are you using the Gutenberg block editor or the older editor. It's there when i test both. In Gutenberg, it's in the right hand column.

Hi Brad, thanks for getting back to me so soon, very much apreciated!
I'm using the Gutenberg block editor.
I'm no gun at all, but from what I've worked out this afternoon, it appears that Gutenberg have rolled out an update which I've acquired through automatic updates and now as you say have the permalink option is in the right hand column.
It used to be on the headline, obtained by simply clicking the headline until fairly recently.

If this is the case then it's simply due to updates with Gutenberg and I'll have to get used to it.

    Thanks again.
