I recently updated to the latest Genesis 2.50 and at least one of my Plugins decided not to cooperate and trashed most of my Widgets (e.g. sidebars, testimonials, and other stuff) - when I tried to recreate the Widgets, they were just wiped out each time I refreshed the different pages. After deactivating a number of Plugins I finally fixed the problem. Unfortunately, much of my stuff was trashed and now I have to recreate. What I am trying to find is a Plugin or something that will periodically backup my complete website and, if it gets trashed again in the future, the ability to restore the last backup over the trashed site. Any recommendations/guidance would be appreciated.

I like to use Bullet Proof Security. It has an option to backup your site periodically. Although, I've never had to restore my site. But, it has the option to do so.

I love this plugin, it can backup your mysql database and htaccess files as well if you want to do those separately. Plus, it's an amazing security plugin too.

But, I would say it has a bit of a learning curve, only because it's got so many features. Still, the support from the developer is incredible. I can't say enough of this guy.

Thanks Studiozen, but I just found out my hosting service, Tiger Technologies, does a daily backup of the entire site (a weeks worth, then a monthly backup), including MySQL database and I can easily restore it from a couple of days ago. Whew!

Checkout Updraft - FREE plugin that I use quite often. Loads of features, reliable and highly rated.
