    I've tried posting this question in the internationalization-forum but without any replies, so now I'm trying here.

    I have installed the Norwegian WordPress. Parts of the website is now in Norwegian, while some are still in English. As far as I can see, all I need to change is the blog entry title where it says “by (author)”, “Comments” and the search widget where it says “Search this website”.

    How do I do this?

    Did you try this yet?

    I understand that Norwegian is not fully translated, but maybe it has enough for you.

    Thanks so much Dave, that worked perfectly! ๐Ÿ™‚

    The only thing left now is the "Seach this website" plugin, which is still in English. Perhaps there is a different plugin I can use, without any text? Or is it possible to change this text manually?

    Aneetah,
    You're welcome, it's nice to meet a friendly person from lovely Norway!

    I do have a quick fix for the search thing. You can add this to your functions.php via Appearance... Edit, and click functions.php, aka "Theme Functions" over on the right. I probably got the word wrong, but you can adapt it to whatever you'd like. ๐Ÿ™‚

    /** change search text **/
    add_filter('genesis_search_text', 'be_custom_search_text');
    function be_custom_search_text( $text ) {
    	return esc_attr( 'Sok' );
    }

    Best, Dave
