MemberI've been designing on Genesis for years now, and I love it. Lately, I've been coming across these great scrolling websites (like this: http://www.fabriziomichels.com.au/ or this: http://www.ok-studios.de/home/ )
How hard is this to do? I've Google'd trying to find tutorials on it, but nothing is sticking, or clicking. Any ideas?

KeymasterStudiopress has a theme that works that way already. Here it is - http://my.studiopress.com/themes/apparition/.

MemberHmmm...I'm not seeing that with Apparition theme. I see that it scrolls, but it doesn't have the picture affects, or the sectioning. Thanks though:)

Memberanitac: I believe you don't understand what a parallax scrolling is.

ParticipantI have clients looking for this effect as well. I see where StudioPress is starting to include some of this in there updated and new themes, but not to the extent that other themes are doing. I realize this is not what the framework is about, but good or bad, people just love "cool" and it's hard to talk them out of it. I don't want to use Themforest, etc. I want to stay with Genesis for all my sites.

MemberReally Hoping that that Brian adds parallax scrolling to the Denali Pro Theme he is working, with an add in for Portfolio Function, this would be a KILLER Theme for sure.

ParticipantI agree, what he has done so far is a good start. Adding some subtle motion to the background images of each section on the home page would be a nice touch. Is there any additional info on the Denali Pro theme, release date, features etc.? Hopefully the StudioPress community will drive the demand for this.

MemberGlad to see I am not the only one interested in this. Yes, Denali theme is a step in the right direction. Portfolio and motion to the background images, and we'd be cooking with gas! Fingers crossed:)

Ditto. I had it earmarked for one of my clients but I think we have to move forward with another child theme at this point. Not the worst fate in the world, but still...
My glass-half-full view is that it is being held up to make it super-amazing!
