Parallax Pro – Homepage showing static page instead of latest posts

Hi,

When I first set set up my Parallax Pro site (http://www.loseweightblissfully.com) I populated the homepage widgets, thus creating a static homepage.

I have now decided that showing my latest posts on the homepage is a better option for my business.

I have, therefore, selected Appearance / Customize / Static Front Page / Your Latest Post.

Under: Settings / Reading I've also selected "Front page displays > Your latest posts".

In spite of selecting 'your latest posts' in both places, my homepage still shows the widgets I originally created.

Why is this happening? How can I get my homepage to show my latest posts?

Remove all the widgets which populate your front page widget areas.

Or

Delete the front-page.php or home.php file from your child theme.

I hope this thread is of help to anyone else having the same problem.

I, personally, consider this to be a bug in the Parallax Pro theme.

No bug, its the way most themes are coded.

When widgets are active on the home page, posts are removed and the widgets output their content.

When no widgets are active, posts are displayed in the loop.
