Hello,
Does anyone have any tips for optimizing pagespeed for WordPress and SP specifically? Im trying to hit the holy grail of 100 mobile / 100 desktop.Any tips are appreciated!

Media Giant DesignYou're not just optimizing WordPress and your StudioPress theme or Genesis, but also your plugins and any third party scripts that are running on the site.
Check with your hosting provider to see what they offer like SiteGround which is my host - https://www.siteground.com/tutorials/websiteperformance/general-tips/. This can help you with some of the things if you do not want to rely on a plugin. Hosts typically have a page like that.
But even if you use a plugin, you still need to learn what each of the settings mean first before implementing them. There are some themes and plugins where if you optimize the CSS certain CSS elements do not work on the front end which will cause the site to look funky or out of whack. Other settings like Lazy Load may prevent featured images from displaying in widgets (which is the case when activating Lazy Load within Jetpack). A lot of it will depend on your site, plugins, hosting and scripts. You'll need to test a lot of those settings.
I have never seen a website with 100% on mobile and desktop. If you've seen some, I'd like to check them out.

100/100 is tough..Haven't been able to reach that myself, but my site loads pretty darn fast. Here are a few tips I can think of:
1) Use good hosting..don't buy oversold hosting and make sure the server is located in the main country you are targeting
2) Make sure your images aren't huge (in size) so they load quickly
3) Use a cache plugin
