    Hi all

    I am quite new to genesis and wp. I am building a site on a local environment (i would have included url) using the Sample child theme. I created a page template for a blog page (will feature post title + post content + date). Seems I have sorted everything out except:

    the menu- is displaying well on all other pages
    on this page template (page-blog.php) besides the menu i had styled; I am getting an

      with no styling at the same time.

      Any ideas how can i go about it please?

    Add

    genesis();

    to the end of the file and remove

    get_header

    and

    get_footer

    as they're already included in the

    genesis();

    function.

    Also, no need for the PHP tags for a custom loop. Only need the opening PHP tag at the very start of the file.

    Also, this is the wrong use of a hook

    genesis_after_header();

    Thanks for your help

    What happens is that the content generated from the loop in being placed before the header;
    also the content of the post is again generated (no styling seems by default) between header and footer

    what might cause this?

    No worries Christian

    You'll find many examples of custom genesis loops simply by using Google as true one i linked to may not be exactly what you want.
